Police are investigating a robbery and home invasion in Trumbull and believe the victim was targeted.

Police are investigating a robbery and home invasion in Trumbull and believe the victim was targeted.

Two people in masks confronted the victim when he went to his parents’ Beech Street home in Trumbull after closing the family business, EJ News in the Westfield Shoppingtown, on Friday night, police said.

The two assailants stole cash and checks from the night deposit and ransacked other rooms in the house, looking for more money, police said.

They eventually fled in a getaway car driving by another individual, police said.

How much was taken in total is not known.

No one was hurt during the home invasion, police said. The investigating is ongoing.
