Southington police are investigating a rash of car break-ins at two separate apartment complexes.

Police said the incidents happened early Saturday morning at a complex on Old Turnpike Road and another on Canal Street in the Plantsville section of town.

The damage was visible to cars at the Seagate Apartments. Police said at least eight vehicles were broken into with a crowbar and then burglarized.

Police said the vandals stole GPS devices, radios and other personal property from the vehicles.
