Suffield police are searching for a man who robbed First National Bank of Suffield Tuesday afternoon and said he has committed several bank robberies in New England.
Suffield police responded to the First National Bank of Suffield on Bridge Street around 1:54 p.m. and learned the man approached one of the tellers, showed a gun, said "this is a robbery," and left with cash, police said.
Suffield schools were placed on lockdown during the initial investigation as a precaution.
