Sex Offender Fights With Men Who Failed to Pay Girlfriend for Sex: Police

Willimantic police arrested four people on prostitution charges after a man got into a fight with two men who did not pay his girlfriend for sex, police said.

Police responded to North Street just before 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday after a disturbance was reported and police said the argument turned into a fight after a “known prostitute” was not being paid for her sexual services.

Thomas Lenois, a 51-year-old registered sex offender from Willimantic, became angry when two local men refused to pay his girlfriend after having sex with her, according to police.

Lenois, who police said has an extensive criminal history with a felony conviction for sexual assault, was charged with promoting prostitution, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Jody Landworthy, 51, of Willimantic, was charged with prostitution. Police said she had three prior prostitution convictions.

Oscar Menjivar, 46, and Luis Martir Sr, 58, were both charged with patronizing a prostitute.
All four are due in Danielson Superior Court on Feb. 19.
