Southington Police Make Attempted Sex Assault Arrest

Southington Police have charged a 50-year-old man with attempted sexual assault.

Southington Police have charged a 50-year-old man with attempted sexual assault.

Police arrested Anthony O. Petrie on Monday and said the court ordered the case details to remain sealed.

Petrie was charged with three counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the first degree and two counts of risk of injury/impairing the morals of a minor.

Court records list the offense date as Feb. 17.

Bond was set at $50,000 and he remains in custody. No information was available on whether he has an attorney.
