Thieves Stole $15,000 Worth of Equipment From New Haven Park

New Haven police are investigating after someone broke into a maintenance shed at East Shore Park and stole around $15,000 worth of equipment.

Police said the security fence at the park at Woodward Avenue and Tuttle Street was cut and the building lock was compromised.

A Torro Workman, which is a small utility vehicle, a 52-inch walk-behind lawn mower and other maintenance tools were stolen, police said.

The estimated value of the stolen items is around $15,000.

Detectives from the department's Bureau of Identification are investigating.
