Hartford Colonials Folding: Report

The Hartford Colonials have suspended operations.

Hartford Colonials coach Jerry Glanville said in July that the United Football League was talking about folding the local professional football franchise and the announcement came on Wednesday that only four teams will operate next season in the struggling league.

The Hartford team was the only UFL team in New England. The four other teams are in Las Vegas, Omaha, Sacramento and Virginia. 

The team has lost more than $100 million it its first two years.
