11/19: Rock and Roll Cuisine

The King of Pop might be gone, but his music is still with us. Head to Torrington tonight to see one of the best Michael Jackson tribute bands around.

WALKING ON THE MOON:  Grab your white socks and your bedazzled gloves. The music of Michael Jackson lives tonight in Torrington.  Who's Bad, the self-proclaimed ultimate Michael Jackson tribute band, is playing at the Warner Theatre tonight.  The North Carolina-based band recreates the King of Pop's music, dancing and all-around entertainment, from his days with the Jackson 5 through "Off the Wall", "Thriller" and "Invincible."  If you want to dance the night away with the band, it'll cost you $29.50 to $50. Show's at 8 p.m.

FIERED UP:  Best known for his Food Network shows, "Guy's Big Bite" and "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," Guy Fieri is a budding culinary rock star. (You'll recall DDD has even made a few stops here in the Nutmeg State.) Now, Guy is taking his fame and spiky bleach blond hair and hitting the road. The Guy Fieri Road Show is stopping at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford (yeah, we're not sure when the name changed back either) tonight. The show is much more than a live cooking demonstration. There's live entertainment including a world-renowned flair bartender. And of course, there's plenty of live rock 'n' roll. Tickets are $55 to $155.  Shows at 7:30 p.m.

SWEET HOME UNCASVILLE:  Legendary classic-rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd are making a stop in Connecticut tonight. The boys behind "Freebird", and "Sweet Home Alabama" will be at Mohegan Sun Arena. Through tragedy, line-up changes and much more, the band has been at the forefront of the Southern Rock movement for decades. They were even inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2006. Tickets are $45 and $65. Show's at 7:30 p.m.
