Some 10-15 acres burned in Southbury on Tuesday night, according to the fire department.
The brush fire broke out off River Road. Fire Capt. Jason Decremer said no one was hurt, but mutual aid was called in from Woodbury, Roxbury, Sandy Hook and Oxford.
Police said the steel bridge on Glen Road was closed while crews fought the flames.
