Four people were arrested on drug charges after police patrolling the Waterfront Park area of New London spotted a suspected drug deal on Thursday night.
Police noticed the transaction just after 7:30 p.m. and arrested Paul Lapointe, 50, Sean Shea, 37, Jeffrey Fernandes, 47, and Joseph Allen, 21.
Lapointe was charged with possession of K2, tampering with evidence and interfering with police; Shea was charged with possession of K2 and possession with intent to sell; Fernandes and Allen were was charged with possession of hallucinogens.
All four were taken into custody and held at police headquarters.
