Dead Boa Found on Norwalk Street

It might have died in the heat or been disposed of.

Animal control officers removed a dead 6-foot-long boa constrictor from the side of the road on Monday, The Hour reports.

A resident called animal control to report that a snake was slithering across New Canaan Avenue and Lloyd Road, blocking traffic, the Hour reports.

But, when animal control officers arrived, the snake was dead and appeared to have been dead for some time, the paper reports.

Charles Thivierge, manager of the South Smith Street kennel, told the Hour he guessed the snake escaped from its home and died in the extreme heat or was disposed of by its owner.
