Child Was Taped to Chair With Duct Tape: Cops

Police found photos of the child while investigating a domestic disturbance.

Police investigating a domestic disturbance in Westport have filed additional charges against a couple after finding photos of a young child taped to a chair.

Westport police said they responded to Bridge Street in Westport at 10 a.m. on Wednesday after getting a report of a domestic disturbance between Patrizio Arciola, 34, of New York, and Gerriely Delacruz, 23, of Staten Island.

Police said they found drugs in the presence of Delacruz’s 2-year-old son and the state Department of Children and Families took custody of the child.

As police investigated, they said they found photos of the child restrained in a chair with duct tape.

Arciola was charged with reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct, possession of narcotics and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

Delacruz was charged with reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

Police said Arciola and Delacruz had a prior relationship and it's unknown if they are still together.
