Firefighters extinguished a fire at the Kleen Energy Plant on River Road in Middletown on Tuesday.
Fire officials believe it was an electrical fire. Middletown Mayor Dan Drew said the fire was inside of a wall in the insulation. It wasn't near any gas lines.
Firefighters were on scene carefully monitoring the situation after they knocked down the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Durham Fire Department said they dispatched a tanker engine to the plant and had an engine providing station coverage in Middletown during the fire.
