Route 44 in Canton is reopening soon after a gas main break at a construction site at 117 Albany Turnpike, which is Route 44 and 202, according to town officials.
The gas main break occurred just after 9 a.m. and the CVS in the area was been evacuated.
The road has been closed for just over an hour at Lawton Road. The scene was clearing, as of 10:08 a.m.
Connecticut Natural Gas and Connecticut Light and Power responded.
