On Monday, state police are planning to place troopers along Interstate 84, from the New York state line to exit 28, along Route 8 from exits 29 to 36 and on several state roads.
“The purpose of this notification is to gain voluntary compliance from all those traveling on the roadways and highways in the State,” the state police union said in a news release issued on Friday afternoon.
The “ticket blitz” is scheduled to start at 12:01 a.m. on Monday and continue until 11:59 p.m.
The blitz also includes state roads in Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Middlebury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newton, Oxford, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Southbury, Waterbury and Wolcott.
