A New Haven is accused of slashing his ex-girlfriend in the stomach with a box cutter in West Haven and has been arrested.
West Haven police said they responded to a domestic dispute on Glade Street around 8 p.m. Saturday and found the victim with a large laceration to her abdomen. She was transported to an area hospital for emergency treatment, told police her ex-boyfriend, 45-year-old Arthur Glen Mabry assaulted her and gave officers a description of him.
Police said they found Mabry nearby and he threw the box cutter on the ground as officers approached him.
Mabry was charged with first-degree assault, violation of a protective order, burglary and criminal mischief and held on $150,000 bond.
