Police have arrested the New London woman accused of stabbing a 4-month-old child in the buttocks last month.
Brittany Melenez, 22, was arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with the May 23 incident. Police said she stabbed the child at a home on Ledge Road in New London.
Melendez was charged with second-degree assault, criminal attempt at first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, possession of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
