Police ID 70-Year-Old Man Who Died After Car Hit Him in Greenwich

    A 70-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle on Milbank Avenue in Greenwich Wednesday and police have identified him as Robert Bono, of Greenwich.

    Police said Bono was hit around 5:55 p.m. while crossing the street. After he was hit, Bono slid under a parked car and had to be extricated by emergency responders, according to police.

    Bono was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

    The driver who hit Bono stopped immediately and is cooperating with authorities.
