A 24-year-old Bridgeport woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Bridgeport on Sunday evening.
State police responded to reports of a crash on the northbound side of the highway, between exits 28 and 29, just before 5:30 p.m. and said the driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander hit a Toyota Camrr driven by Shameal Akhalia Jackson, 24, of Bridgeport.
Jackson swerved because of the crash, crossed the highway and hit the Jersey barrier in the center of the road, police said.
She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the crash.
