Amtrak has resumed service after a bomb threat prompted an unscheduled stop and evacuation in Westport Sunday night.
According to an Amtrak spokesperson, a Amtrak Acela Express Train made an unscheduled stop around 7 p.m. at a commuter station in Green's Farm, near Westport after a reported bomb threat.
The 224 passengers and crew members aboard were safely removed from the train while police and K-9 dogs conducted a search.
After the train was cleared, it resumed service around 8:30 p.m.
The train originated in Washington, D.C. and is headed to its final destination in Boston.
There were no reported injuries during the incident.
