Home Health Aide Who Stole From Greenwich Woman Threatened to Put Spell on Her: Police

A 22-year-old home health aide has been arrested on accusations she stole thousands of dollars from a disabled Greenwich woman and threatened to have her killed in a car crash by placing a spell on her, according to Greenwich Time.

Ketty Placide, 22, of Norwalk was arrested and charged with larceny, threatening, identity theft and illegal use of a credit card and a Greenwich woman told police a neighbor found a $250 personal check of hers made out to her health aide on the ground outside her home.

The victim also reported credit and debit card charges for a dress, a coat and a drone with a camera.

Police said Placide used Facebook to threaten the woman.

She was charged with 26 counts of illegal use of a credit card, 26 counts of credit card theft, 30 counts of criminal impersonation and first-degree identity theft and additional charges.

Placide was taken to York prison and is due in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 25.
