Man Seriously Hurt After Crashing Into Apartment

Police said the motorcycle went through the window into an apartment.

A 29-year-old Middletown man suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle crashed into the window of an apartment complex and landed in the apartment, according to police.

Ryan Foell, age 29, of 1414 Bartholomew Road in Middletown, left the parking lot at 288 South Main Street, which is Mad Murphy’s, just before 8:30 p.m. on Monday, hit a car and continued traveling toward an apartment building located directly across the street from the parking lot, police said.

Foell crashed through an apartment window at The Wilcox apartment building and into an apartment, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that Foell left the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

The Middletown Fire and Hunter’s Ambulance treated Foell at the scene and he was transported to Hartford Hospital for further treatment for serious injuries.

Police are investigating.

NBC Connecticut called the leasing office on Tuesday morning but it was closed.
