A man was stabbed in Willimantic and might have been assaulted with a bat, according to police.
Police said they responded to North Street, between Meadow and Main streets around 6 p.m. Thursday after getting a 911 call reporting that a man had been stabbed and went to a nearby business for help.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
The Willimantic Detective Division was called in to assist with the investigation.
Police said they have spoken with several witnesses, but they do not have a suspect in custody.
This appears to be an isolated incident, according to police, and they said there is no threat to the public.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Chris Shepard at Willimantic Police Headquarters.
