A wild crash was caught on surveillance camera in Naugatuck.
Police said they tried to stop the 14-year-old driver of a stolen Mercedes at a safety check on North Main Street Saturday evening, but the driver took off.
The driver ran a red light at the intersection of North Main and Union and crashed into a SUV, according to police.
Witnesses described the dramatic crash.
"Full speed no brakes. The taillights didn’t go on or anything," said Luke Morel.
Investigators said three juveniles, age 14, 16 and 17, inside the car tried to flee the area of after the crash. They were taken into custody.
Police said no one was seriously hurt. There’s no word on the charges the teens will face.
