The trailer for "Hanna," about a young girl trained by her father to be an assassin, has finally arrived, and frankly, we're not sure what to make of it.
"Hanna" stars Saoirse Ronan ("Atonement") in the titular role, a young girl raised below the arctic circle by her father, Erik Heller (Eric Bana), to be a killing machine. For reasons that aren't exactly clear he leaves her and she gets taken in by a normal family. But as the old saying goes, you can take the girl out of the assassin camp, but you can't take the assassin camp out of the girl. Take a look...

There's a lot we like about this project: the "The Professional" + "Jason Bourne" premise; the possibility of Bana living up to the promise he showed in "Chopper"; Cate Blanchett and Olivia Williams; The Chemical Brothers soundtrack... But the trailer, despite having some nice moments, didn't exactly knock us out.
"Hanna" opens April 8, 20111.
