Paris Hilton Is “So Sad and Devastated” After Her Dog Tinkerbell Dies: “We Went Through So Much Together”

Paris Hilton is mourning the loss of her beloved dog Tinkerbell.

The famous Chihuahua who was seen on "The Simple Life" and "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" died this week. Her owner announced the news on Instagram Tuesday afternoon.

"My heart is broken. I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age," she wrote. "I feel like I've lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul."

She continued, "We went through so much together, I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten."

Tinkerbell, who roughly lived till 72 in dog years, was constantly by Hilton's side when she walked red carpets or was interviewed by talk-show hosts. Her owner would also dress the four-legged friend in various outfits and even some bling.

In honor of her dog's passing, Hilton has chosen to dedicate her entire Instagram page to all things Tinkerbell. As a result, fans are being treated to a variety of classic photos of the famous pooch.

"I hope you enjoy the memories of my sweet angle," she wrote. "She lived a long, beautiful, luxurious & exciting life. "#RIPTinkerbell."

In recent months, fans began to speculate as to how Tinkerbell was feeling after not seeing her out and about. Fans were used to seeing Hilton carrying her around Los Angeles. But in an Instagram video, the fashion designer assured fans that the famous dog was a-okay.

"To everyone who keeps asking if Tinkerbell is alive," she wrote with a video of her girl running around. "Here she is, the original queen herself."

For now, the Hilton family will focus on the good times they had with the pooch who lived quite the glamourous life. And luckily, Tinkerbell isn't the only dog roaming around the family's house.

"Such a sad day," Nicky Hilton tweeted to fans. "We lost the sweetest, kindest soul #RIPTinkerbell"
