Lesbian Teen Who Survived Shooting: “Buy Pepper Spray!”

Kristene Chapa, the lesbian teenager who survived a shooting that left her girlfriend dead in a South Texas park three months ago, is speaking out on her recovery. The 18-year-old posted on her Facebook page that she has “learned life is so fragile,” and offered this advice: “buy pepper spray!” On June 22, Chapa was shot in the head along with her girlfriend, Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, at a park in Portland, Tex. When the couple was found the next day Olgin was already dead. Chapa was severely injured and was rushed to the hospital. Chapa helped police make a sketch of the suspect who attacker her, but so far there have been no arrests. Chapa also thanked those who pray for her, noting that it has helped her fast recovery.
