Black Ice and Snow Showers Tonight

Snow that was falling in northern Connecticut Tuesday morning has all but changed over to rain.

As expected, areas in southern Connecticut stayed all rain.

Temperatures will begin to drop as colder air rushes in from the northwest. With a rapid drop in temperature this evening patchy black ice is a possibility.

In addition, colder air has allowed the rain to change back to snow in some hill towns. A few scattered shower are possible across the state through midnight.

Gusty winds and much colder weather will settle in for Wednesday. Wind chills in the single digits and wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible.
