Police Look For Man Who Robbed a Bank in New Haven

New Haven Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at Wells Fargo on Foxon Boulevard at around 9:45 a.m.

Police said the man jumped the counter, pushed past a bank teller and took an undisclosed amount of money from a teller drawer.

The man then jumped back over the counter, left through the front door and ran towards the back of the bank, according to police.

Before entering the bank, police said the male suspect was described as a stocky build 6-foot black male in his late 30's to middle 40's. The man is bald or has a clean shaven head with a gray and black beard.

The man was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a lighter gray hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers, according to police.

During the robbery, the man’s head and face were covered by the sweatshirt hood and a scarf or mask, police said.

New Haven Police have multiple investigations going after there was a bank robbery, a stabbing and a shooting within hours of each other on Saturday.
