Thousands Still Without Power After Weekend Storm

Thousands of people across the state are still without power after this weekend's storm.

Eversource reports over 4,300 people in the dark as of 5 p.m. Monday At one point, more than 22,000 outages were reported statewide on Sunday.

A line of towns through central Connecticut seemed to be the most affected on Sunday, including Cheshire, Middletown, Monroe and Newtown. Bethany and Seymour appear to be the most affected on Monday.

United Illuminating reports 1,698 outages as of 5 p.m. Monday, down from nearly 9,000 on Sunday. Hamden, New Haven, North Haven and Woodbridge appeared to be affected the most.  UI said it hoped to have power restored to all customers by midnight Tuesday.

Crews have been working through the night to get the power back on. The biggest problem linemen are having is dealing with ice on the power lines.
