A group of House Democrats, including Connecticut's delegation, are staging a sit-in on the floor of the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. in an effort to force a vote on gun violence legislation.
Rep. John Lewis, of Georgia led the sit-in on Wednesday and was joined by Connecticut Representatives John Larson, Joe Courtney, Rosa DeLauro, Jim Himes and Elizabeth Esty.
The group is pushing for a vote on expanded background checks and legislation preventing gun sales to suspected terrorists.
