Diane Pearl, of Colchester, needed help when her washing machine stopped working properly.
She said her clothes came out of the wash with residue on them.
The good news for Pearl is that the washer was still within the one year warranty period.
But after three service calls, she said the problem wasn’t fixed. She said she had to take her clothes to the laundromat.
Pearl reached out to NBC Connecticut Responds and after we asked the manufacturer to look into the situation, the company authorized a replacement.
Pearl said she now has a brand new washer worth $810.
Consumers should know it’s important to familiarize yourself with the warranty or service contract when you get it.
