Police have arrested a suspect in the April 2023 death of a 55-year-old man in Southington.
Brian Seholm, 25, of Torrington, was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in connection of the death of Dominick Francischelli.
Francischelli was found dead inside his home on Douglas Street on April 11, 2023.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined Francischelli was strangled and his death was ruled a homicide.

Seholm and Francischelli knew each other and Seholm was at the house on Douglas Street on the night of Francischelli's death, according to police.
Court documents show that Francischelli appeared to have trauma to his face, which included swelling and discoloration of both eyes, and a blood-like substance coming from his nose and mouth area.
In the initial interview with police, Seholm said he had no part in Francishelli's killing and believed that he had fallen. In a later interview, he admitted he lied, saying he "blacked out" from drinking too much that night. He told police that it's possible he did something to hurt Francishelli that night, but he couldn't remember.

When officers asked Seholm if he killed Francishelli, he replied "no...I don't know...I hope to f***ing God I didn't," the warrant states.
A witness told investigators that a surveillance camera inside the residence captured Seholm climbing into bed with a woman in the home, and she could be heard screaming for him to get off. That happened during a time that Seholm told officers he was asleep, the warrant reveals.
As a result, officers obtained a warrant for his arrest in April, and he was released on a $20,000 bond.
After the OCME report revealed that Francishelli was strangled, Seholm admitted to authorities that he heard "a cracking sound" when performing CPR, according to the warrant. Police noted that Seholm was previously arrested for domestic violence in a July 2022 incident.
Investigators secured an arrest warrant for Seholm and took him into custody in Torrington Thursday.
He was held on $2 million and is scheduled to appear in court in New Britain on Friday.
