Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in history, is coming to Connecticut tonight.
Phelps retired from competition after the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and has been promoting the importance of not just physical fitness but mental health.
His discussion at SCSU will cover his successful swimming career as well as the challenges he’s faced with depression.
In 2018, Phelps announced a partnership with Talkspace, which provides online therapy for people who are going through tough times. He said helping people overcome the dark chapters in their lives is "way bigger than ever winning gold medals."
Phelps has also established the Michael Phelps Foundation, which encourages children to live healthy, active lives, and to continue to grow the sport of swimming.

He has also has written three books, “Beneath the Surface: My Story,” “No Limits: The Will to Succeed,” and a children’s book, “How to Train with a T.Rex and Win 8 Gold Medals.”
Tickets for premium seating are on sale for $35 and regular seating is $30.
