HAPPY TASTE BUDS: This week, Hartford's top restaurants are offering special menus at a fixed price of $20.09 as part of Taste of Hartford.  That prices doesn't include tax, beverages or gratuity, so bring a few more dollars with you.  Trust us, we've perused the menus, and they all look good.  Some of our favorite dishes include Louisiana gumbo, white rabbit napoleon with strawberries and beer, and Guinness and chocolate stout mousse.  Dinnertime.

LONGEST BAND NAME EVER: The group "…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead" takes the stage at Daniel Street Club in Milford tonight, along with the shorter named The Soldier Story and Echo and Drake.  Catch this group described as "Texas art-rockers" (but they're big in Europe and Australia) before they hit the big apple and then the Austin City Limits festival. Tickets are $14.  9 PM.

DON'T FOLD NOW: Poker player? You have a million reasons to play in Mohegan Sun's Summer Showdown Poker Tournament featuring a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. This ten-day event, which features the largest confirmed poker prize pool in Mohegan Sun history, will conclude with a three-day $700,000 Guaranteed No-Limit Hold' Em Main Event.
