Wyman Wins Democratic Nod For Lt. Governor

    Wyman wins Lt. Gov nod at Democratic Convention.

    State Comptroller Nancy Wyman has garnered the Democratic Nomination for Lieutenant Governor during the State Democratic Convention in Hartford on Saturday.

    Wyman defeated Simsbury First Seletwoman Mary Glassman by a nearly 2-1 margin.

    The final tally: Wyman: 1232, Glassman: 577

    Wyman is the choice of newly endorsed party candidate for governor Dan Malloy. 

    Glassman is the running mate of democratic gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont. The two are are planning to run against Malloy and Glassman in the August 10 primary.
