Springfield kidnapping

A Massachusetts man who was arrested after allegedly kidnapping an 11-year-old girl is now facing child rape charges.

Miguel Rodriguez, a 24-year-old Springfield man, was captured last Wednesday after an Amber Alert was issued for the abducted child.

An 11-year-old girl was snatched from just outside her Massachusetts home this week in every parents’ worst nightmare, but she was rescued hours later, thanks to the help of some keen-eyed bystanders who took action amid an Amber Alert.

A family that tailed the car wanted in a Springfield, Massachusetts, kidnapping Wednesday described the tense chase that eventually led to the girl’s recovery and her alleged abductor’s arrest.
