The medicinal use of hallucinogenic mushrooms is making inroads in U.S. states as military veterans advocate for the therapeutic value of psychedelic drugs, including in conservative states like Utah, Texas and Oklahoma

The legislation which unanimously cleared under the Public Health Committee would commit $3 million to help veterans and other disadvantaged individuals gain access.

The proposed law in the state would give veterans access to psychedelic therapies and decriminalize several drugs like LSD, ecstasy, mescaline, psilocybin “magic mushrooms” and more.
