A chilly evening ahead for Halloween festivities with temperatures falling into the 40s and some 30s throughout the state. There will also be a light breeze at 5 to 10 mph out of the west which will make it feel a few degrees cooler.

Temperatures will quickly fall after the sun sets. Sunset tonight occurs at 5:46 in the Hartford area.
Temperatures falling into the 40s for most of the state by 7 p.m.
Chilly by 8 p.m. with shoreline communities falling into the upper 40s and inland areas falling into the low 40s.
Hopefully you're not still Trick or Treating by 9 p.m. parts of the state will be falling into the upper 30s.
